Battle of Chamkaur

Description

In the battle of sarsa, the family of Guru Gobind Singh ji got separated in the chaos. Guru Sahib with his elder sons Sahibzada Ajit Singh and Sahibzada Jujhar Singh came to Chamkaur Sahib accompanied by 40 Singhs. Guru Sahib camped in a small fort outside chamkaur village. The Enemy forces came chasing and laid siege to the chamkaur fort, around 10,00,000 enemy forces were gathered to capture Guru Sahib. On the other side Guru Sahib had around 42 Singhs vs 10,00,000 enemies but the spirit to fight was unmatchable. In this battle Guru Sahib’s both elder sons attained martyrdom alongside 40 Singhs fighting 10,00,000 mughal and hill kings forces. Guru Sahib left the fort and escaped fighting through enemy ranks in the darkness of night. The battle of Chamkaur is the most unmatched battle in the history of the world where 40 Singhs fought 10,00,000 enemy forces. This battle will continue to inspire generations to fight for truth and freedom against all odds.

ਸਰਸਾ ਦੀ ਜੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਵਿੱਛੜ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਾਹਿਬਜ਼ਾਦਾ ਅਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਸਾਹਿਬਜ਼ਾਦਾ ਜੁਝਾਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ 40 ਸਿੰਘਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਚਮਕੌਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ। ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਚਮਕੌਰ ਪਿੰਡ ਦੇ ਬਾਹਰ ਇੱਕ ਗੜੀ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਾਣਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਨੇ। ਪਿੱਛਾ ਕਰਦੀ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਫੌਜ ਨੇ ਚਮਕੌਰ ਦੀ ਗੜੀ ਨੂੰ ਘੇਰਾ ਪਾ ਲਿਆ। ਲਗਭਗ 10 ਲੱਖ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਫੌਜ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨੂੰ ਕੈਦ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਇਕੱਠੀ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਦੂਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਕੋਲ ਸਿਰਫ 42 ਸਿੰਘ ਸਨ, ਪਰ ਲੜਨ ਦਾ ਜਜ਼ਬਾ ਬਾਕਮਾਲ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਲੜਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਵੱਡੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਹੋ ਗਏ, ਨਾਲ ਹੀ 40 ਸਿੰਘਾਂ ਨੇ 10,00,000 ਮੁਗਲ ਅਤੇ ਪਹਾੜੀ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਫੌਜ ਨਾਲ ਲੜਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਸ਼ਹਾਦਤ ਪਾਈ। ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਕਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਰਾਤ ਦੇ ਹਨੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਫੌਜ ਨਾਲ ਲੜਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਮਾਛੀਵਾੜੇ ਵੱਲ ਚਲੇ ਗਏ। ਚਮਕੌਰ ਦੀ ਜੰਗ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਅਦੁੱਤੀ ਲੜਾਈ ਹੈ ਜਿੱਥੇ 40 ਸਿੰਘਾਂ ਨੇ 10,00,000 ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਟਾਕਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਹ ਲੜਾਈ ਅਨੇਕ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਚ ਅਤੇ ਅਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਲਈ ਹਰ ਹਾਲਾਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੜਨ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕਰਦੀ ਰਹੇਗੀ।
