Guru Nanak Dev ji is the founder of Sikh religion. The light of Guru Nanak travelled through 9 Sikh Gurus and still today is present in Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji. This Artistic depiction shows the light of Guru Nanak travelling through 9 Sikh Gurus and ultimately merging in Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji. This symbolises that only the body is changing the light and wisdom remains the same.After combining all the elements only one thing remains what is the source of all this wisdom and light? Akal Purakh the almighty one supreme power which is represented as the light encapsulating everything in the artwork. The Shabad (word) of the Guru is beyond any Color, form and instrument but this is a tiny attempt at capturing a glimpse of light in the darkness.
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਸਿੱਖ ਧਰਮ ਦੇ ਬਾਨੀ ਹਨ। ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਜੋਤ 9 ਸਿੱਖ ਗੁਰੂਆਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਸਫਰ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੋਈ ਅੱਜ ਵੀ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਕਲਾਕਾਰੀ ਦਾ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਅਕਾਲਪੁਰਖ ਦੀ ਜੋਤ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਸਾਉਣਾ ਹੈ, ਕਿ ਸਿਰਫ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਬਦਲਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਜੋਤ ਸਦਾ ਇੱਕੋ ਹੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਸਾਰੇ ਤੱਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਇੱਕ ਹੀ ਗੱਲ ਰਹਿ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਕਿ ਇਸ ਜੋਤ ਦਾ ਸਰੋਤ ਕੀ ਹੈ? ਅਕਾਲਪੁਰਖ, ਉਹ ਸਰਬਸ਼ਕਤੀਮਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਇਸ ਜੋਤ ਦਾ ਸਰੋਤ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਲਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੌਸ਼ਨੀ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਰਸਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਰੰਗ, ਰੂਪ ਜਾਂ ਸਾਧਨ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਪਰ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਇਹ ਚਿੱਤਰ ਇੱਕ ਛੋਟੀ ਜਿਹੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਹਨੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੌਸ਼ਨੀ ਦੀ ਇਕ ਝਲਕ ਵਾਂਗ ਹੈ।
